Oddjob is the manservant of Auric Goldfinger, James Bond's antagonist in 1964's GOLDFINGER. Oddjob is a formidable character - extremely strong, skilled in martial arts and in possession of a deadly weapon, his black bowler hat.
THE REPLICA
The Factory Entertainment Oddjob Hat prop replica was created after careful study of the remaining original SFX hat with the embedded rim in the EON Productions archives, as well as reference photographs and original production drawings.
The original archive hat was hand-measured, and a 3D model was created from these measurements in order to create wooden molds, or 'forms' that were then used to press and stretch woolen felt into the correct shapes.
Historically, bowler hats were designed to afford some protection to the heads of gamekeepers, so they were made from thick durable material. The Factory Entertainment team duplicated this, commissioning a special ultra-heavyweight felt material that is even tougher than its 1960's forebears.
The metal rims of the original props would only have needed to adhere to the hats for short takes. The Factory Entertainment team wanted their replica to last a long time, and after experimenting with many different options and prototypes, the team developed a method that includes both mechanical and chemical bonding to invisibly and permanently fix the two different materials together.
The Oddjob Hat replica also features the following screen-accurate details:
- Black edging ribbon and a satin hat band on the exterior.
- A satin liner and a leather band on the interior.
- Laser cut brushed stainless steel metal ring.
- Hat size -- 7 3/8" (58cm) hat size.
Each replica includes a museum-style mirrored display base with an acrylic cover, specially designed magnetic supports and an individually numbered metal plaque bearing the unique edition number of each piece and a COA (certificate of authenticity) booklet.

- UPS Shipping: Need it faster? Opt for UPS shipping, which delivers in 1-2 working days. This is available for certain products for an additional fee.
Non-UK Shipping:
- Free Shipping: We offer free, untracked shipping to most countries, which generally takes 5-10 business days. Deliveries are made by your local postal service.
- Tracked Shipping: Track your order with our international tracked shipping for a small additional charge. Expect delivery within 5-10 business days, handled by your local postal service.
- UPS Shipping: For faster delivery internationally, choose UPS. This service delivers in 2-3 business days and will cost an additional fee.

When will my item ship?
If you order an in stock item by 1pm (UK time), your order will ship the same day from Monday to Friday. It can take a little longer at busy times, like the Christmas period.
How long will my order take to arrive?

UK orders ship by Royal Mail, which should arrive in two to five working days after despatch (but occasionally can take longer).

Non-UK orders ship by Royal Mail International Airmail, which usually takes 10-15 working days after despatch, but may take up to 30 days if the item is held by your country's customs officers.
Deliveries can take longer to arrive at busy periods, such as Christmas, or during emergency situations such as the coronavirus pandemic.

Do I get a tracking number with my order?
Currently, all orders ship without a tracking number, but we will soon be offering the ability to upgrade to a tracked delivery service.

How do preorders work?
When you place a preorder, your payment will be taken immediately and you will receive email confirmation of your order.
When the item arrives in stock, your preorder will ship and you will receive a shipping notification. Please note, supplier dates can change; check the product listing for the most up to date information.
When will my preorder ship?
Look on the listing page for the shipping date of a preorder product. The date is listed next to the 'Add to Cart' button and at the top of the listing description. Please be away that pre-order dates occassionally can change due to manufacturing delays.

What is your returns policy?
We offer a 100 day no-hassle, returns policy from the purchase date.
In addition, UK returns will be supplied a Freepost address to send the item back free of charge.
International customers will be required to pay for returns postage.
Returns can be made for any reason: faulty goods, incorrect sizing or the item is just not as expected. We will offer refund or replacement on receipt of the original item.
